As the new year begins we all tend to contemplate our goals and review our priorities. I have found, as have many others, that accountability is very helpful when trying to establish new habits and disciplines. God has put us in church families for a reason. Accountability is one of them. This year I want to dig in to the Word of God with my brothers and sisters. Let's use this forum to encourage each other to soak in the Word of God and build that solid foundation that God wants us to have!

Reading Job..... I just can't imagine the faith required to praise the Lord during such terrible trials. Lord please, I pray give me the faith of Job !!
Todays reading was a good reminder to stay humble and give it all to God.
Yesterday's reading(I read at night, so...) can pretty much be summed up in this, "Who is Jesus". There is no question in your life that will ever be so important! David reminds us just how short our lives are. Answer the essential question.
I'm left with a question after recent weeks readings... Why did God seemingly change his mind about how we are to act. Or should I say the rules or laws we should observe?
And they never saw those Egyptian soldiers again. They were goners. God had rescued Israel, just as He promised! Now to Matthew, Jesus is here and the cross is closer. What a Redeemer!!!
Read Proverbs 6:16-19.... what a great reminder about basic morals and honesty. From there, my study bible lead me to James 1 & 2. Awesome reminders about behavior pleasing to God ! Check it out!
I don't care how many times I read Exodus, it is still new! What a powerful and merciful God! He judges the Egyptians and the 'gods' and rescues His people, all with the promise in mind! I can't help but see God's redemptive story embedded in Exodus!
Just a thought.... as I read through Psalms and Proverbs, don't you wish you could express yourself like King David or Solomon?
As we've begun this, I must admit, I have found myself reading ahead (kinda wanna see how it ends).... Is that naughty ? LOL 😊
God is merciful. Even with all of Abraham's family drama and stuff, He still uses this dysfunctional family to bring the promised messiah into the world! He came, not for the "good" people, but for those that knew they needed a savior. Jesus is victor.
Finished todays reading.... what a good reminder to stay humble!! (Psalm 3:7)
Just finished todays reading in proverbs...wow isn't that living itself out right about now!
